I dont understand why this new town is not building the farming dome they say they are going to build.

Its been over 25 turns, they have 3000+ private funds, they have 1100+ invested treasury. I keep pumping 100cr per turn into their investment fund, but they just wont build it.

I want them to build it so they get off the emergency food fund. A different town built it after only having had around 300 invested treasury. What is most likely stopping them from building it? They got plenty of available workforce (over 10k unemployed) -

Do they have enough non-worker population to run a private Farm T1?

Yup

10300 available, 1300 private jobs
4800 public jobs, 5300 public workers

happiness
99 population
66 public workers

A Private Open Air farm needs 10500 unemployed people to run, in 1.09.06.
The 9000 you have is smaler then that.

I have no values for the Hydroponics version of hte top of my head, but expect the same ballpark of a solid 10k after the current workers are substracted.

ah.. ok so i need to send more colonists. hmm

The "next:" thing says it wants to build a "Farming Dome Community"

So they definitely wont build something unless they can staff it 100%?


**edit - where do you see the 10500 ? When i want to build the "public" version of the dome, it says i need 5500 workers for max production

Private and Public versions do not have the same stats. Not even close.

They ocassionally lock each other out, however.

So it seems the moment i had more than 10500 free workers, they built it.
