After Tsinan's fallen in September,general Du planned an offensive towards north,which makes units spread on the Longhai railroad.
But now the time has changed,the intelligence shows communists are marching south.
Nationalists must retreat to Xuzhou and guard the Tianjin-Pukou railroad.
