Never mind I guess. After several tries it eventually saved and then I was able to end turn. Would be helpful if the error code included a message of why the upload failed as "-5" doesn't mean anything to me.

Actually I'm still getting this error pretty often when doing turns. So far it eventually works but can take several attempts. Any ideas?

Hi,

Are these errors recent or something that has been happening for quite some time on your end?

Just wondering if there is possibly a server issue at the moment leaning towards some inconsistency with PBEM++ turns.

I've just started playing SC WaW PBEM a few days ago. I've played some other matrix/slitherine games by PBEM in the past though.

Any other ideas here? Still seeing this error probably 80-90% of the time I try to save or end a PBEM turn.

Has happened to me, no worries. It's a game, not my sport's book trying to submit a 4-team parlay for $100

@redrum68 --- Don't "push too many" buttons at the end of the turn. The graphics or java or whatever it is spazzes out.

Yeah, its mostly just frustrating as I often have to try to save or end a turn 5-10 times before it works and have a few times I had to give up and replay the turn. I try not to have lots of other things running or touch things once I hit save or end turn.

Hi Redrum68,

Sorry to hear about the trouble and I just wonder if others are also having this issue or is it possibly something more specific to just your connection with the server?

The error message is unfortunately generic as there really isn't much more info than that. Essentially it is just an HTTP POST failure, e.g. a message sent to the server that fails and I really don't receive much more info back from the server on that one other than it failed.

I've recently saw this behavior again in WaW and the PBEM server. I have to say that when your in a match deep into the 76th turn with another YouTuber and the episode is an hour and a half long...and this happens, well, it not just a game.

What I have been doing is saving just before hitting the end turn button. Then give it a try. If its still does it....come back later..and try again. Eventually, the turn will go through. Same if it happens before as you try to get a turn going in the MP match. Step back...and try again later. Still, this last week I have a seen a lot of these frustrations.

btw, JJRambo...who says some of us don't have a side bet going on these matches. We don't need no bookies for that, but we don't want to have to redo a turn that we just did and skew the whole action. At least, those of us that are honest..[:D]

Ha! I save my gambling for sports. Always like my Golf & Gaming for fun. I made a college golf team as a walk-on, when it became work, I was done. Life too short.

Speaking of gambling, been hitting the MLB hard, been easy. I'm typically weary of betting favorites, but teams have become dominate since All-Star break and the duds been laying eggs. Football around the corner, I like to play the small college teams, coaches tend to run up scores, can get some nice 2nd half dogs in first couple of weeks before lines get sharp. Way back in my young Legend years, when I was in college, there was a casino near the school, I'd try to hit & run on the limit Texas Holdem' table. Would take in 300, try to win 40 and quit, fast. Look for fish, the bad local players. If I could make gas + another bill, so be it. The big stakes no limit, anything goes there. Game takes to long and too boring. Not my thing to sit around a table with bunch of dudes who don't shower. Rather go preaching.
