Port supply main supply changes

Hello
In the previous turn I had every allied units in the continent supplied through ports. But now I've been noticed that 10-12 units have suddenly basic supply. I think it may be because some ports next to the Channel (Amsterdam, Dunkirk, Calais and Le Havre) have changed to main supply and then do not contribute to supply stockpile.
How to solve this mess?

You reached the limit it seems, so units over what you can legaly supply are in basic supply. Also after a certain range (30), ports are not used anymore, maybe it is what ahpppened here; or you just landed more troops). You can either live with it (a few units in basic suply is not the end of the world, depends how many, where etc.), or you can capture ports to have more stockpiles or you can lose/remove units to need less supply.
Not sure it will matter much in this game however...[:D]

The problem is there is just enough supply for a single thin frontline. Forget bringing reserves or air units to France.

What range do you mean? Is there any condition that changes port supply to main supply?
In fact, two turns later all hexes in Europe were with main supply! [&:]

Not at all [:D] but I´d like to understand how it switches from port to main supply for future games

On page 53, there is a table that shows port becoming less effeccient for supply due to range. In a way, I guess the easiest wait to put it is that you could consider a port at 21-30 range from units to be twice as small as a port at optimal range (0-10).
Each port will provide a certain amount of supply for units to consume it. If there is not enough for everybody's needs, excess units (chosen by the program) will be put on basic supply. Those units will recover very little readiness and can get no replacements or upgrade.
My guess is that last turn either you captured a port (or actualy, a port captured the previous turn became operational) allowing for extra supply to get in and removing the need for extra units to be in basic supply; or maybe you had just enough loses to reduce your supply needs. Units that have lost strenght (steps) will require/conssume less supply.

Doesn't liberation of France give you mains supply?

There are no liberations in Warplan. However, for France, if you take Paris (and have a few units in France), Vichy will join the Allies and then you can use their supply sources I think. But that can only happen if Vichy is still neutral when it happens. Usualy the Axis players takes care of that before...

That isn´t the point. It isn´t that had changed de amount of ports controlled or the supply consumption of the units. It is that suddenly,
I don´t know why, port supply disappeared and the whole european continent was with main supply.
Then all problems were gone. It´s a kind of logistical miracle.

Looking at the map the Allies seem to be a good way into Germany itself. Did a rail line link up to trace a route to a main supply source in Russia which would put the whole continental railway system in main supply?

As Nirosi asks you above, did either the Axis or the Allies DOW Vichy France? My understanding is that if they did not, then when the Allies capture Paris Vichy France joins the Allies and Paris (or maybe Vichy) becomes a supply source for the Allies. I have never had this happen in any of my games because either the Axis or the Allies have DOWed Vichy before the Allies capture Paris. You can click on the supply button to see where your supply sources are. Is either Paris or Vichy a Supply Source?

Germany DOWed Vichy in 1940 and also invaded Spain.
As YueJin says maybe it has been when Allies have linked up with Soviet rail, but it doesnt explain it all because ...
As I said in the first post, previously to get the whole of Europe with main supply, a couple of turns before, there was that strange issue of having just four ports in the Channel with main supply and the rest of the continent with port supply.
