Does everyone want games with Auto AI Air Off? Seems so, every game I see posted askes for that. I mean to me the Air Game is important, but I do not feel the need to micro-manage it. I am not really asking for a game yet, as I don't think I could get one (maybe I could.., wait and see the answers to this post are).
My other reason is I don't think that air on the eastern front was the decisive factor in the East, and spending what looks to be a huge about of time managing it, seems rather pointless. The computer does a good enough job for me, as long as both sides are letting the computer do that job. What am I missing here?

I just get the extra fun of the game, managing the aircraft and supplies myself. This is a very interesting new feature that makes the game much more difficult. I like challenging games.

What you miss is that IF one does not want to use the AI, they can just click the button still and have the AI do things for them.
Some prefer to manage things themselves, out of their own enjoyment, desire to win (players will do things better than the AI) or to fare better, etcetera.
Some players will just bite their own hands if the AI will trash their precious air assets when not needed or for meaningless attacks, etc.

Point 1, I know that.
Point 2, I get that also.
Point 3, If both sides are using AI, then it should even out. I see my AI Air do stupid things all the time, just it does not worry me, as I guess the computer AI Air is also doing stupid things, so it all evens out in the end.
Last I am not very confident in the Game's Air model in the first place frankly. I would have to play it to really see, but having read some accounts, makes me doubtful.

If you don't mind nor your opponent then let it rip
For me I can't stand seeing hundreds of planes as Germany downed in a turn when I know I can do much better utilizing those planes. But there is nothing that says that one side can't use the AI while the other doesn't. But I am not getting into the ramifications of that
