Cannot start MWIF when choosing the "Set Mode of Play" option of 'Internet' and naming two players for the game.

I have registered the serial number in my Slitherine account successfully, and even logged into the Matrix page before I started the World in Flames game on my laptop (thinking maybe this was the issue). I keep getting the error message: ", (from NetPlayRegistration.txt), not found in list of player names."

Also of note: If I click on the 'Check for Update' option on the first splash screen for the game, it also gives me an Update Error saying that "Update Information for World In Flames could not be downloaded".

As a side question- wasn't there a PBEM mode of play in this game before??

1 What you say about not being able to start a game made me crazy until I found out that I was trying that both players started the game, but only one should, the other just joins, else you have this problem. I believe it is because for the game both of you are trying to start a game and the lobby cant handle it. Maybe this is what happens to you, use the book to check the procedure.

2 The check for update has worked for some players and some not, it seems. But you can always download from your personal area in Matrix/slitherine.

3 I think there is no PBEM, although people make their own solutions to emulate PBEM, dont ask me how, I dont like PBEM.
