Mines are still in Allied hands between Bandar Lampung and NEI but don't block Japanese ships.
If the movement line is to be believed it looks like it by-passes through the land hex to the east of it.

This is also a problem since the British fleet of Singapore can escape using this "land bridge".
Kuala Lumpur taken, normally they must be able to escape only to the East.
