Max Resolution?

I'm running 5076x1200 but can't get the program to launch at this size in window or full screen mode.
Have run as admin and compatibility with windows xp sp 2 checked, also have DPI settings set to Application override
"G:\Games\WITP\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -w -px3072 -py768 -deepColor -altFont
It runs in the above config but everything is so small it is not playable, are there certain resolution that have to be used to scale up to 5076x1200? Tried to use the forums to search but the results tell me my search of resolution is not detailed enough and the search can't be completed. Thanks

Are you sure about your resolution?....GP
Edit: not sure the game will run at that resolution....GP

A few players have reported getting resolutions in the x=2500 range. I don't recall anything higher. Also keep in mind that on-map text is not independent of the graphics resolution, so it will be very tiny at higher resolutions, unless you have a gigantic monitor to compensate.

OK thanks btd64 and bbfanboy that help set some expectations. Will post back if I can find anything that helps make it more readable/playable but so far not having much luck as mentioned may just need use a single monitor at a lower resolution.

It will be harder to see those pilots on the list or even data on those ships, bases, etc. I got mine around 2k resolution, should be enough. I havent tried the 4k, cant imagine how hard to read it.

I think I've got a setup I like now and the font is readable. My resolution of 5760x1200 is on triple screens using Nvidia Surround. I could not get anything to work correctly in window mode until I turned off surround mode and setup each monitor individually, found 1024x768 to be the best resolution. This is great because now I can run WITP on one monitor and the combat monitor on the other and surf the web on the 3rd
The only thing I'm not sure of is how to get WIPT to launch on the middle monitor, monitor #2, currently ist launches on the far left #1 monitor. anyone have an idea on this?
Here is my target switches in the event it helps someone in the future - highly recommend turning off surround mode for anyone trying to run this game as it seems the only option.

Renumber your monitors in the nvidea control panel. Set the center one as #1, left #2 and right #3. That should do it. #1 is always your primary monitor and it should be set to the center one.

I've not used dual monitors with surround in years, nevermind my question above I found the answer I needed to set the middle monitor as the primary monitor. All good now, thanks all.

I forgot you can right click and set your primary. It defaults to #1 being the primary.
