Seems to be also available for some other VR sets. I strongly recommend against Oculus, because it requires functional Facebook account, and those have been made non-functional before.
if a FB account is non functional, if may be because they have broke the terms and conditions of FB by useing sidequest
I would suggest to find out if the unfunctional sets had the illeagle sidequest installed, and the quest2 oinly costs £300 with no PC required. normaly for VR you would need a £1000 if not more for a VR ready PC and £400 for a headset if not more , so the saving is immence. also my Oculus quest 2 is running games better than my desktop did. and ou can just use a facebook account with no data shared if FB is the problem. I dont lisen to 3rd hand info Instead I go off hard facts(sidequest allows unauthorised games to be bought and installed, and causes the set to stop, so please dont use it or lisen to someone who has, sidequest was quite popular with some who said it was safe, BUT its NOT), and I can tell you Im havng the time of my life for £300
if you look at the games details before you buy they tell you if internet connection is required, so if you dont want to login on your suggest just buy games that dont need internet connection, and its not really a problem to be honest, just stay logedin all the time on your phone.
you can quote this from a genuine user, the quest 2 is really cheap not needing a PC, but you can buy a link cable or connect wirelessly with a PC. its like the movie READY PLAYER ONE, Im having the time of my life.
if you want to connect to your PC wirelessly, you use an eathernet cable to connect PC to router to cut the wi-fi traffic , this allowed me to play 70% of my destop apps ,
AND MOST IMPORTANT IF YOU HAVE NEVER TRIED VR ITS GOING TO BLOW YOUR MIND, for £300 FB has given us the world, thankyou so much FB I forgive you for everything because of this. and its wireless!
in conclusion £300 cost
dont use sidequest
set FB to total privacy
