New to the game! questions!?

Hey Everyone! So I just started playing Toram and I check some articles and other posts about the game but I'm still confused what to do so I'll maybe ask all questions I have and what I want to build as character sooooo: About eq and some epic drops do you drop it from monsters and bosses or it's more of a crafting thing in game?
I wanna build a character that use knucles and it's more of a tank so what I should put my stats into?
Should I make a blacksmith etc? (Idk what's that all about tbh)
Any tips for new start?
