Husky Questions

I play out T1 & 2 following both the amphib and para landing.
But I hit the F11 key in T2 and I don't see any ground battle markers for either of the above. Yet, I know they took play, since I saw the battles flash by during the German Logistics phase.
Also, they do not appear under battles in commander's report.
Is there no way to display them?
Thanks.

I think this must occur due to the fact it is taking place during the OPFOR logistics phase. I can pause it. I can change the message level.
About the only thing I can think of is running screen capture software during the landing turn, and reviewing it later.

Mark (?),
For some reason known only to the developers, the game doesn't show battle results for amphib or airborne invasions the turn after. The only way to see the results is to hit the Pause button during the invasions and study or write down the results for your own purposes.

I *think* there are two partial problems to reporting these battles.
One is they sort of happen in limbo, they are not keyed into any of the 4 conventional combat phases in a given turn. While everything else such as reporting via the CR is.
The other is there is a FoW issue, it might be related to how in MP the screen for a landing is displayed very differently to a normal end turn routine.
both these explanations might be, to use the (local to me) vernacular, complete mince.

Thank you, both!
I have the NVidia built in recorder hot keyed. For any enemy turn which represents a landing, I will flip on to "review the tape". It is not as much data as wanted, but better than nothing.
This type of issue occurs quite commonly in games. For example, MIUS, the open screen turn execution has lots of quick pop up messages that you barely have time to read about the campaign level. I record them, and review it afterwards.
The reason I had asked, it was quite un-GG like not to have every detail available somewhere for review.
I am enjoying WITW and it's air war. I never even imagined such a game existed.
Thanks!

I've been playing WitW continuously since starting in the beta program in 2013. After each 1943-45 campaign I need a month or two to recharge, but then go again.

yeah, I keep on coming back to it (even if I get utterly confused now and start trying to do things that work in WiTE2). I think at 110 axis morale and John's 4th Supreme Command scenario its near perfect as a vs AI game. You have to work hard for a draw.
from a MP perspective, one great thing is its feasible to see the end. Get an opponent who will generate 2-3 turns a week and you are looking at say 4 months play from one to the other of the 1943 GC. If you swap sides you can get a dual game over in less than a year. With the best will in the world the 1941 GC in WiTE2 takes 4-5 months vs the AI and has to be over a year MP (assuming it goes deep into the game).
Add on that its not till fairly late in 1944 that you have a lot of counters to worry about so once you have some feel for the air war its pretty quick.
