4th Campaign game

Hello everyone:
This is my first post, I have lurked for a long time.
I bought the game in early 2016 and only play against the AI. After learning on the scenarios, I started playing the campaign game about 1 ½ years ago, the first CG lasted 3 days game time, the next about 3 weeks game time and this third CG is at 1 1/3 years game time, 1 day turns, historical.
In a few more weeks I will be ready to start a 4th CG, I will play that one at the hard/very hard level.
So, my question is, in a CG against the AI, what “scenario/mod” would you choose for an interesting historical game.
I am looking for a “historical simulation,” since what I enjoy most about games is learning about places, ships and planes. I understand that I have to let the AI have its historic expansion at the beginning.
I am planning using Andy Mac’s just upgraded Scen 7 and using Andrew Brown’s updated map.
I will “copy” that Scenario so I can make some modifications to it in Editor. In particular I want to have the US torpedoes be more realistic and will copy that from Big Bs mod. Plus, I had an uncle in the 57th Seabees. I wasn’t able to find his unit which shipped out on 3/9/43 from Port Huemene on the SS Del Brasil, so I want to make sure his unit appears by renaming another Seabee unit.
I have considered using Dababes Lite, (Sarduaker’s favorite) and started reading in the forum about the “RHS” mod, but from my review couldn’t find an “reviews” or AARs of it.
By way of background, I been a wargamer since my aunt gave me Tactics II in 1962. I have played solitaire all the scenarios and the campaign game of SPI’s WITP (as well as War in the East and War in the West and the entire Europa series) multiple times. However, this is the first computer war game that I have played, (I got the first Grimsby game on the 3 1/2 floppies but the graphics couldn’t match the 40 plus square feet of SPI’s WITP).
