At the moment we don’t have a release date, but we can tell you that it will be in Q1 2022. The official date will be revealed in the upcoming months so stay tuned to find out more.

I missed the beta last time. I hope I am accepted for this one.

I won't lie I'm a bit sad for the delay but if it means avoiding unhealthy Dev crunch so be it.

Also I've already sent my Beta application but is what Marco said during the Tea time stream true? Because if so lucky me [:D]

I can not sign the beta...it says i already did, thats true, i tried to be in it when the first beta was open.
But i had no luck...

So i have not to do it again?

FYI I've been unable to get the beta application to go through. It says forum credentials aren't valid even though using the exact same ones I log in with here. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

Agreed if the delay relief some pressure on the dev team then it s a very good thing.

Agreed in the last few Tea Times I always felt for Elliot when I heard he is crunching away like mad. I also was a bit sad when I heard about the delay but of course health / work life balance is far more important. Looking forward to new updates and hopefully the beta!

I applied for the beta on the Slitherine website some time ago, didn't realize it was also on the Matrix Games website. Hopefully I get selected, looking forward to helping this game be a strong contender when it releases!

Just to update this, having my password reset and changed fixed this. Apparently the site was confused about what my password was supposed to be, so I could log into the forum but not anything else. So yay, applied successfully!

I have the original Distant Worlds on CD, not DVD. CD. 650MB storage space compact disks. When the advent of Steam started and digital distribution became normal, when each Distant Worlds expansion came out I always selected to also purchase a physical copy. Distant Worlds has been the core of my space 4x love affair and is regularly played. BaconMod & RetreatUE are my staples. I have been checking and re-checking the Distant Worlds forums (even when it was on the old CodeForce website) for years waiting for news. Very excited, long term fan. Looking forward to Distant Worlds 2.

Was my most anticipated game of 2021. Guess it now will be the most anticipated game of 2022 for me. Can´t wait for this game to come out. Such a great and unique concept of a game

Strange, I did sign up for the original beta, but it let me sign up again now.
