Vehicle factories

Some cities have them, but I can't find any description on what exactly they do. If they represent truck production, then I have to question some of them. For example, there is one in Stalino, Kuybyshev. Soviet Union had 4 major ones, 2 in Moscow (ZIS, KIM), one in Gorky (GAZ) and one in Yaroslavl (YaAZ). The last one was by far the smallest. Both Moscow factories moved in October 1941 so there was no real "production" until summer 1942.
So any idea what exactly they do? In the Editor there is also Vehicle Repair, does it actually do anything?

They do not only represent truck production, automobile production in general. So cars and tractors (maybe buses) included. Don't know if motorcycles are included.

is there a way to get a full description on what it actually include? Since 95% of auto production in Soviet Union was trucks the numbers for anything outside the 4 factories should be near 0.

In total, during the war years, Soviet car factories provided the front with 265.6 thousand cars, and about 340 thousand were collected from Lend-Lease kits (all deliveries under Lend-Lease amounted to 427.5 thousand).

Yeah, but that's not the point. I'm not sure what the numbers mean and why we have Gorky with 20 and Stalino with 5. Also, that means that during the wat USSR was producing about 70,000 autos per year - about a half of what was pre-war production. And again 95% were trucks, and the rest were buses, cars etc.

Currently, the game produces 3100 cars per turn. Total for the year is more than 150 thousand vehicles per year, excluding evacuation. But there are obviously tractors here.

Apparently everything is included now in "Vehicle"

But how about their difference of speed and carrying capacity?

I believe you will find the developers lumped all carts, tractors, cars & trucks (civilian and military) regardless of size and capacity into a single 'vehicle'. Its range, speed, capacity, reliability and consumption (Supply and/or fuel) is the same. That is why obsolete French or Polish 'trucks' are just as capable and reliable as Axis or captured Soviet 'Trucks'. It was a trade off.
