In game where I'm the Axis, unable to shore bombard PakHoi with the Juntas.
In game I'm the Allies, the British, cannot not shore bombard port of Tobruk?

Anyone?

Happened in one of my games too today. I am Allies and cannot attack Tobruk port. The unit loses its attack point though.

You playing some Bunta version?

Uggh, I see the issue, in a fix for the previous patch it looks like it has unfortunately introduced this new issue. I'll try and fix this ASAP.

Just to confirm, have you updated to v1.12.01?

Also, is this for the Matrix version of the game?

If so and you navigate to the following folder:

\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\Strategic Command WWII - World at War\Pbem\DAT\

Do you see the subfolder v1.12.01?

If so, is the 1939 World at War.dat file found in there?

Same problem with my match with Pavia. Its the previous version and we have grinded out 42 turns since early Sept 2021. ..Its Nov 42 and I do got Allied attacks going on globally now. Syracuse Port..A few ports in the Marianas..I can not bombard them from the sea. Others possibly.
Edit: Also can't bombard certain island resources like the towns in the Pacific....

Can not bombard resources either in this ongoing PBEM match suddenly after 41 flawless turns. Whats the bummer is I patiently waited to unleash all hell on the Axis in the Med and Pacific via sea power.

Also..this thread seems to be talking about two different problems. I have had no problem since the last patch getting into this match.(This MP is the previous version). We started this match early last September...and my opponent and I are recording these and putting them up on YT.

Well..here's another example of this anamoly:

My game is on the latest update. I also had no loading issues up till now. There are only some problems with bombarding, but Hubert seems to have found the problem.

Well..I'm not sure how to proceed here. Wait for a hot fix before returning a new turn when it comes? I PMed my opponent about the issue. I haven't had any problems with loading on the server my opponents last turn.

I don't even want to contemplate not being able to continue this match since both of us are recording our turns. but if the Allies can't bombard ports and/or resource/enemy units as they start pushing the Axis back to their holes..then there's no point proceeding.

I guess we will just hunker down and wait and see.

I'll be submitting a hotfix for this tomorrow, I had to sort out one other issue as well and be sure of it first.

It might not be until early next week before it is released. Sorry about the trouble here, it's just that the process between bug tracking, fixing, submission and release sometimes takes a little time.

I will PM my opponent (Pavia) that we need to hold off. We both got 42 turns of content..scheduled out to early January..So all is good. Thanks for the quick response. I might of done something rash trying to fix this my self..

In the meantime, it looks like the 1.12.00 game .exe works with the 1.12.01 installation files, scripts, shore-bombardment, etc., except the game engine fixes for 1.12.01, obviously.

NOTICE! The shore-bombardment bug affects ALL THREE Strategic Command games with their corresponding v.01 updates!

Yes, it has been corrected for all 3 games with the hotfixes already submitted.
