I'm playing as the Axis and I did not invade Belgium or The Netherlands. U.S. bombers are starting to bomb Germany by flying over Belgium who is neutral. Is this WAD?

They should be flying around it, is it possible that the can reach Germany by doing so?

Indeed they can fly around it if they have the range, though it does reduce the range they can fly due to having to go around. I've bombed Germany from the UK like that a few times in my early games.

Perhaps the AI planes have the movement to go around as mentioned above, but the red line of the flight path goes through Belgium. It could be that the AI can ony do straight lines from base to target.

I think the red line during the replay is just a visual aid, not the actual flight path. To be sure I'd suggest a test in a hotseat vs yourself. Start a game, get a german plane to the Ruhr area, attack northern France without declaring war on Belgium and Luxembourg and watch the replay. That should give certainty.
