I have lots of DB experience. To really turn this from a log to something one can ask questions of, you will need qualifiers for the combat. The type of stuff that appears in the in game combat info box.
Then, you might ask questions like the impact of fatigue or experience. The impact of altitude. The impact of weapons load outs.
The ratio of equipment damage and versus production points and do such ADs return a positive ROI.
My point is this is a good start, the it is not enough for slicing and dicing data analysis.
Additionally, such information helps the developers test and build the game. As Roger was talking about history treated as theoretical physics with equations which then can be tested against experimental cases.
Well, it is a good start, but not enough for true data mining.
