Hmm... I must be missing something regarding the German 1st Cavalry Division.

From what I understood, it withdrew to East Prussia in Nov 1941 to be reformed into the 24th Panzer Division.

The 24th Panzer Division later returned and fought on the Eastern Front.

I do not see a TOE upgrade for the 1st Cavalry Division nor the 24th Panzer Division arriving as a reinforcement in the 1941 campaign. The 24th Panzer Division does not exist in the 1941 Campaign Scenario data.

I believe there are scripted xfers of the 1st Cavalry Division as follows:

Turn 23 - WE (it is actually xferred to Prussia to be reformed into the 24th Pz Div)
*** (in Apr 1942 is when it was xferred to WE)
Turn 46 - Map
Turn 113 - IT
Turn 122 - Map

In actuality, the unit ceased to exist late Nov 1941 and was converted to the 24th Panzer Division in Dec 1941.

It appears to be completely missing from the WiTE2 1941 campaign.

The division will be converted to a Panzer Division when arriving in WE.

1st Cav is renamed/reformed to 24th Panzer on T23

Weird, because in my game the 24. Panzer-Division gets renamed from the 1. Kavallerie-Division on turn 23 [&:]

I stand corrected.....

Loaded an older save for Turn 23 and found it was converted to the 24th Pz Div.

Also found the upgrade message in the logistics log as well for turn 23.

You are correct. I did not look far enough down. It is there.

The unit uses the rename feature which allows units to make big jumps in reorganization without relying on pre-programmed OB updates. All of those units marked in yellow are part of a rename/reorganization.

hmmm... it is auto-converted? Wonder how that happens without a TOE upgrade? Did not see anything in the 1941 campaign scenario data to reflect this....

Anyways, when playing with "Enhanced Player TB Control" enabled and the player clears the withdrawal script (which they are allowed to do in this mode), nothing else happens to the 1st Cavalry Division.

So, if it is auto-magically converted to the 24th Pz, clearing the xfer script appears to break it.
