I'd imagine a 1940 Ardennes campaign 'd be easy to add and really fun to play...any gossips or news that I have missed?

A Korsun Pocket game would definitely be a new legend. The system could be similar to this one.

Market Garden would be perfectly suited for the game system. I just need to find somebody who transfers one of a the 1km/hex maps from TOAW to DC:AO and the rest is more or less a piece of cake.

How big of a map are we talking about?

Have to see where I can download Erik Nygaard's "Holland - A Bridge too far" scenario. It's 1km/hex and got, like DC:AO, 6 hrs per turn. Alternativel, one could use to transfer the map from JTS as well.
Found it. See screenshot. It is a task for somebody who enjys creating maps (not me).

How about a Normandy campaign? The initial invasion and then the breakout.

Initial landings and Cobra, yes. For a full scale campaign, e.g. Normandy to the Rhein, the AI would most likely take ages. I'd stick to Market Garden.

I have TOAW IV, but I don't have that scenario. Where do I get it?

Yes, I found it.. just a few seconds before I saw this.
Map is 61 x 119 hexes. That would take me a while... but it is doable. (If I have the right scenario loaded).

It's scenario from Eric, version 2.2 or 3.0. "Holland - A Bridge Too Far 1944".

The developer is always trying to do something different and new.
In Shadows of Empire the next big patch promised are ocean worlds with naval combat.
For me therefore the next game will be on the Pacific front.
In the meantime I'd pay for an "art pack" to update the portraits from previous games.

Glad this thread picked up some speed
Honestly given that Vic likes slightly non mainstream games and that his strength (IMHO obvs) is making logistics fun and adding historical immersion I wish his next project 'd cover a Civil War or Napoleonic campaign at the operational level with the same story driven approach as 'Barbarossa'. Or hey anything about an Asian empire. China and India have amazingly rich military history.
For WW2..if we must

.
- The Race for Berlin 1945, again very story driven and it could be played from three different perspectives! Axis, Russia and Western powers...
- a sequel for Barbarossa extending to spring 42.
- a 'France 40' ...same map, but more movement and `what ifs' than Ardennes.
- Operation Varsity or Kanev. yes airborne ops are fun, but I'd love something that has not been done to death.
- last but not least..anything but WITE2.

I too would really enjoy Vic's take on a strategic civil war game, with about the same scope as the Ageod Civil War games, especially including his approach to logistics, personalities and DC:AO unit flexibility...

Another doable scenario would be Sicily, Korsun, Kanev. The latter would be quite interesting.

I'd like to stay on the West Front, start after the Normandy landings and go up to this games time frame. Lots of good scenarios to be made and maybe a quicker turn around since a lot of the forces and map are done.

from the VR page..so we will have to wait a bit to know what's next.
"Games in Development
VR always has a game in development, however at the moment nothing about this new game can yet be disclosed. Expect some extended secrecy all the way up to the end of 2022 at least. Do expect some extra content for Shadow Empire."
