My stack of subs in the middle of no where was attacked by bombers. They did not attack anything the previous turn.

I am wondering how this is possible they were detected.

I think those bombers in Manila (range 8 hexes) spotted you and attacked.

I've noticed this before and try to keep my subs at least 10 hexes away from any airfield.
