Hello,
This issue has been reported a lot on the Steam forums, so I decided to post a bug report here to bring more attention to it.

Currently, many people (myself included) are experiencing visual glitches related to the main menu and right side menu in-game. The words frequently stretch out and become unreadable when the mouse hovers over them, and sometimes whole blocks of text just disappear

As shown by the numerous threads posted, this bug is a significant issue affecting a sizable amount of the player base on Steam. None of the currently provided fixes have worked. This glitch is very annoying is it becomes very hard to read what the menu is saying.

I love this game and very much enjoy playing it, however, this issue is frustrating. A fix in the next update would be greatly appreciated.

Is this only happening on the Steam version ? Has anyone observed this on the Matrix-installed version ?

I haven't seen this (going by the youtube video in that first link) on my matrix install on win7 @125% scaling at 2560x1440. I have seen other oddities with some forms showing when they shouldn't, related to main-menu screen (separate thing), but as for the specifics they are talking about and that video shows, nope, haven't seen that yet.

Has this only started since 'Build 1147.34 - CMO v1.04'? Or was it happening before then?
My laptop Steam version is fine (Dell G3 15 with GeForce GTX 1650 and GeForce Game Ready driver 496.49; works on both the Integrated CPU and Nvidia GPU) as is my Matrix installed copy.

I recall this glitch starting with the 1.04 update. Never had it before then.

Anyone seeing this on the Matrix-installed version ?

I just ran the Steam version on a 2080 Super and a 1660 TI. Its on driver 496.76, the latest. I also used the Intel GPU. No visual issues.

I wonder if its s setting in the nVidia control panel. It looks like it has something to do with the shading.

On the Combat Mission forums a few users have also reported some graphics issues. It was on W11 specifically, but as reported above, there was a recent NVIDIA driver update that may be the culprit. If there is a way to revert that update it might be worth checking to see if that's what's doing it.

I have the Matrix version, not Steam, so I can't check myself.

This is a guess, try opening the nVidia control panel, and setting your preferred graphics processor to your nVidia processor.

Check this window as well, under "graphics settings" in the windows control panel.

I'm running steam version, not had this problem myself but I hadn't updated the NVIDIA driver to the latest version so I tested before and after the update not seen the problem with either the new or previous version. Not a solution I know but did check the previous version of NVIDIA against the newest.

My mistake. The problem reported on the Combat Mission boards was with the AMD Radeon update. Sorry.

No problem was worth a check anyway. Might of been something in it and no bother to me.

Please take a look for any Nahemic or Sonic Suite software. I think that software has a bug that is causing glitches in other programs.

Isn't one of the pinned suggestions to remove the Nahemic SW. I know it cause issues in a lot of games.
