Naval Test Mod 2

Run One Procedure:

Have IJN w/ half in Naval/Tactical, half in Fighter.

Do all possible bombing runs with the N/T ships, concentrate on a few targets try to sink as many as you can.

[Note: the escorts can often then do their own runs, but can only inflict damage on the enemy air wings not the hulls. Optional.]

End turn, Americans get their shot, again use half in N/T half in Fighter.

Attack one IJN carrier which was in N/T, then one which was in Fighter mode (if you have any strikes left bomb another N/T one). Otherwise try to maximize sinkage.

Run Two Procedure:

Set IJN carriers into 3 groups: Naval/Tactical, Fighter, and Mix.

Do NOT otherwise do anything with the IJN.

US turn, bomb one of each type of IJN carrier, half of US set to Naval/Tactical, half to Fighter, 3 strikes each. [You may have an extra left over, try to sink any which are damaged]

Run Three Procedure:

Set all IJN carriers to Mix

Bomb away on the US with all possible strikes, maximize sinkage.

End turn

US can then return their strikes also in Mix mode, maximize sinkage.

I'm planning on other tests with a mix of carriers and surface vessels in smaller task forces in the future...all in hot seat..some with FoW on and some off. Its a pretty cool tool Elessar has created to test naval situations out in a quick fashion.
