Air War/Ground Support very prone to mistakes....

The picture is an example of me, forgetting to turn off ground support and attacking a hex, outside of fighter range, but within bomber range. (I wish I could say this is my first time to do this, but sadly, I find myself doing it more than I would like to admit...)

Further annoying is that I clearly did not need any GS for this attack at all.

So, the game flies unescorted bombers, many to their death.

Unlike other ADs, the Ground Support AD UI does not offer any settings that put any minimum escort requirements.

Additionally, you have to manually check, battle-by-battle, the ranges of potential escorts for any GS missions left enabled.

This facilitates, by design, numerous accidents and errors by players.... which would be stupidly easy to put something in the UI to mandate the required number of escorts for the mission.

Please update the Ground Support AD UI to allow players the ability to specify escort requirements.

Thank you.

It would also greatly help to be able to keep Ground Support enabled for the enemy phase if there was more control / settings to work with.

Having a range setting for aircraft to set on how far "YOU" the commander wants them to fly could go far into solving this problem. Currently you are at liberty of the system range factor overall and the system is not nice.

Yes, we'd like to add more UI to make it easier for players to avoid accidentally starting a battle with GS on outside of escort range. That will likely be something for next year though.

I think this is currently manageable, but it involves lots of clicking and care. Would appreciate improved controls in this area.
