More testing. I have disable full support on all Allies planes. Here is my target.

Going on the Axis side. I am using II Jagdkorps with an Air Combat of 7 against the French plane (Air Combat of 5).

After the strike, I lost 9% and 2 steps.

No Air to Air combat of course since the French were not in full support.

Going back on the Allies side, the French plane seems intact.

Now same target but in full support mode.

I don't know why but, this time, the supply truck brings me an Air Combat of 8 so against an Air Combat of 5.

But the attack is a disaster. I lost 4 steps whereas the French only 1 step.

Of course, the unit has suffered.

Whereas the French has only lost 8% of effectiveness.

Honestly, I don't understand this Air to Air combat result. I have replicated several times. My guess is that the results are reversed. And, I think the following is proving it.

This time, I am putting II Jagdkorps with an Air Combat of 8 in full support mode.

This is IV Jagdkorps with an Air Combat of 6 that will perform the attack.

And bingo, I have reproduced several times, II Jagdkorps is losing 1 step and the 4th Ftr Grp is losing 4 steps. Hence my theory that the results are reversed when there is no second Air to Air combat.

The second Air to Air combat is almost equivalent, Air Combat of 6 vs Air Combat of 5 but I think this is also reversed.

I think the first Air to Air combat result, when there is no second Air to Air combat, and the second Air to Air combat result, when there is a first Air to Air combat, are reversed because of this other test.

This time, the IV Jagdkorps is in full support mode. This is II Jagdkorps that will perform the strike.

And look at the first result, IV Jagdkorps losing 1 step (Air Combat 6) and 4th Ftr Grp losing 3 steps (Air Combat 5).
But the second result is bad II Jagdkorps losing 2 steps (Air Combat 8) and 4th Ftr Grp losing 1 step (Air Combat 5).

I think this second result is reversed.

By the way, how does it work? Are the results of the first Air to Air combat is taken into account in the second Air to Air combat for the 4th Ftr Grp?

What is strange is that, on Allies side, the result seems correct. Attacking the Air Combat 8 airfield with my Air Combat 5 fighter.

I always have this 4:1 ratio in favor of the Air Combat 8 fighter. Maybe a problem only on Axis side? This is strange.

Air Sups flying as bombers have 1/3rd the air to air rating when flying as bombers. That's why you got slaughtered.
