Yes, need to learn more about 1863 before jumping on board with this one. Not sure at the moment how battles are resolved, if it is all auto-resolved battles, then I'm not interested, campaigns are of interest though.

I'm not getting too excited over this one. From the developers pinned thread on the steam forum:

"Clash of Command is a conversion of the first game released by our studio waaay back in 2009: The Campaign of 1863 (C63). C63 was a Flash/Browser game with a small but very dedicated following (hi C63 vets!). The conversion began with the announcement that Flash would no longer be supported as of Dec. 31st 2020. Since that time we've been grinding away at recreating the entire Front End and Sever systems to work with our existing game engine."

I could be wrong, it happens a lot, but I doubt there's been a good wego Civil War game hiding out as a free flash browser game since 2009. It's also multiplayer only, so not of interest to me anyway

Good points Thomas. If it is multiplayer only, that is me out to. I can only hope this conversion they speak of adds more features, an AI being one of them. However, it does not sound too promising at present.
