4k monitor experiences

Hello all,
There are a few threads in the past on game resolutions and using 4k monitors. Before I buy one for myself I wanted to try and gather everyone's recent experiences here in one place if possible.
Without worrying about the shortcut command line options (which already have numerous threads and I can sort out later) I was wondering what people with 4k monitors have run into, and how the game is displaying.
I already have a couple of conclusions such as it wont run in full screen mode at 4k without issues, which is fine I use a window. But its things like that I am looking to hear about. I currently use QHD resolution on a 32" monitor playing in a window just barely smaller than the screen and its fantastic. I can always keep that as my main monitor if WitPAE doesn't cooperate on the 4k panel.

This has been discussed quite a bit in the Tech sub-forum since it is a technical issue. For example, Korvar has a thread stickied there that describe how you CAN get full screen display of the game if you follow his steps. I see no need to build a new thread to rehash what has been posted in the Tech area.

Don't leave because one person rained on your parade. What I remember is that you can not use the entire 4K, there is a limit and I think it is on the horizonal plane. I do not have a link to it, but I will try and find it for you.
