You would think that facing a fragmented organisation like LW SS etc these units would perform better when they are attached to HQ within that organisation do these hq's which have units under them of the same designation get any modest benefit for doing so.

In WITW the FJ XXX certainly do.

Even a modest bit of help for being attached to your same type of HQ would be fairly realistic one would think. Maybe a +1 on admin roles?

SS leaders may only command SS HQ fair enough but actually apart from Morale they are not the best. Mot and PC HQ give benefits to Mot and Armour units under their wing.

Is there any benefit as at the moment as cannot see a purpose for instance LW HQ. I would think they would have been formed because they were needed to better control things in a fragmented national army?

If I recall Airborne/FJ Corps commands retain the benefit they had for WiTW - in effect range is suspended as a test for leadership rolls between an airborne unit and the HQ

Think with SS HQs you just get forced into using them, as you say the relevant leader pool is less than stellar in some regards

LW HQs is just a designation, nothing particularly good or bad about them, they come in with the LW divisions and are useful for the command capacity. I tend to try to keep the LW divisions out of the front lines

Do the LW HQ’s have lower morale? Idk if that makes a difference for HQ’s tbh

OK tks - I was hoping there would be some benefits for these other HQ.

The morale for the HQ effectively comes from the commanders morale rating, otherwise all the other clerks, drivers, chefs make no difference if SS or WH.

I assume that included among those chefs are also the Corps staff officers, communications personnel, etc.
