I don't what I have done but my Naval Air Group HQ ( Flieger Feuhrer Ostsee ) seems to have vanished or disbanded.

Maybe its was going to do that or I did something I don't know, I had been using it to disrupt the supply lines to Odessa in preparation for a assault on the city.

The unit had a naval doctrine to attack the sea lanes around the city.

On turn 8 the unit had quite a few planes as you can see by the screen shot.

By turn 10 Flieger feuhrer is no more and the component squadrons are spread out over 3 different air groups now.

KG 27, JG 77 and 4th Flieger Korps all seem to have the naval squads.

I mean its no big deal I will just order theses units to attack Odessa.

But I would like to know if Fleiger feuhrer was disbanded by me by accident or by design as could not see anything reinforcement schedule.

Or by turning on Auto Naval patrol it confused the air directives.

Just seems weird it vanished

On turn 9 some squadrons left the unit and moved to other Air groups which has me baffled.

One thing comes to mind, I had been asking advice on the forum about how to take Odessa.

While going through the manual on AUTO Naval patrols I found info on how to activate this routine so I did.

So I had a Naval doctrine directive and and AUTO Naval patrols going on at the same time.

I am wondering if it caused a conflict of routines or something.

And my AI air chief decided to transfer squads out of Flieger Feuhrer.

I have had that happen where they move all the way back near Germany on the northern coast. I can't remember why what trigged it but check there.

Well after reading your post I thought I better do the same thing I scoured the map, rechecked luftlotte 4 its parent formation.

Flieger fuehrer HQ is gone, vanished

looked at an older AI vs AI testgame and by T11 this AoG was moved north near Leningrad. on T10 it was near Odessa.
The name implies this unit actually belongs to the northern front, Ostsee region (Baltic Sea)

If it doesn't already, it needs to rename to Flieger Fuhrer South/Black Sea.

At the moment we have FF Ostsee present with FF South as reinforcing and later renaming to SFF Black Sea.

Actually, I don't see FF Ostsee AOG withdrawing at all in the scenario data. I think originally it did withdraw because it historically reformed as FF Sued/Black Sea. Joel requested that I remove the withdrawal for Ostsee so that it now sticks around.

You shouldn't need to make any changes.

Well I just checked the game I am playing now again, I also went through the commanders report, looked on the map also just in case my eyes were deceiving me ( old eyes ) Flieger Fuehrer AOG has vanished.

Last night ( my Time ) I sent a email to 2by3 games with all my saves of both Axis and Soviet side from turn 7 to turn 10.

The email title is " Flieger Fuehrer disappears " if that helps.

Maybe something went wrong and its flipped onto the soviet side somehow, I only looked through the Axis turns and not Soviet ones.

In the current setup we have the unit twice once FF South appears
Sadly the rename function has no option to change HHQ or other settings
