Hello together,

my goal is, translate the units to the origin language. For example: 269th Infantry Division --> 269. Infanterie-Division.
The problem is, the Unit Card in the right shows the short type of the unit: 269th Infantry Division = 269th ID.
This short version ist gone after rename it to 269. Infanterie-Division. Now the long name ist cut off: 269. Infanterie-Divi...
I think there must be a mechanic, where i can set the short type names, does anybody know, where that is?

In WitE 1 this was a name table embedded in the game .exe, I asume it's the same in WitW/WitE 2

Did you know, if its possible, to edit it or is it hardcoded?

hardcoded, only the programmer may add/change the list.

it seems there is some code that looks into the TOE(OB) suffix CHARACTERS .... it changes "Infantry Division" to ID (and "Motorized Division" to MD) , btw if you do include the word "DIVISION" in the TOE(OB) suffix you SIZE is as the "default" would be a division, but if you do nmot include it (as in writing "divisionen" you have to set size option manually.)

im not not sure, if i understand you right. I change the suffix of the to but the name is cut off.

it is as you say (by test and error), for the "ID" suffix has to be exactly "Infantry Division".

The other thing I discovered is : if the suffix is not going to include the word "Division" then you should explicit mark the size option (or it will become a battalion)
