Finally Bought the Beast

I usually despise such detail in games but the Eastern Front is a passion of mine on every level. I mean who could avoid the most epic struggle in history in terms of scale!
I discarded the manual skipped straight to some youtubes, AARs, Matrix Forum Posts and found some quickies on how supply is calculated. Using my previous knowledge of 30+ years of wargaming I figure I can figure some things out but I would like from you all if you wouldn't mind me being somewhat lazy. I love to learn as I go type here: "What do you find Ultimately Important, cannot be neglected and what can I mostly just ignore as I learn?"
I will brush the novel I know after I learn how to handle the stick shift/gasoline/and break/wheel. Just want to learn a little faster. I like to know my beast.
