If the Axis declare war on Sweden the impact on the USSR is 2-4%. Additional diplomatic consequences are as follows:

USA: 8-15%; Finland has a 75% chance of moving 25-35%; Switzerland has a 25% chance of moving 10-15% towards the Allies.

Out of interest, why are the Axis declaring war on Sweden at this point? Is it actually cost effective to do so?

If the Axis control Norway, Sweden, Finland and Leningrad does the Scandinavian supply increase?

After Leningrad is taken and back to 5 Strength a railroad connection is established into Norway (without Sweden).
Narvik needs to be in Axis hands too.
Then the mine at Trondheim can get up to 40MPP instead of 25 and the other cities produce more as well.
Also, the ports allow for full repairs.

I love to play Axis but cannot imagine a scenario where a pre-Barbarossa assault on Sweden would be beneficial.

Thanks

My question is if the Axis control Norway, Finland & Sweden is the supply increased for all of Scandinavia once Leningrad is secured.

Like the ports in Turkey that increase once the Axis control them.

Everyting that now has a direct rail line to Berlin (via Leningrad) gets primary supply, which means almost everything except a few small towns.

Yes. Or 6 at least.
The Berlin-Leningrad-Norway railway is something I only realized after like 20 MP matches.
Its very powerful and justifies some investment to
1. take back Narvik (if Allies took it)
2. take Leningrad ASAP (which you should do anyway, since Leningrad blocks big quantities of troops with little effort)

Finland is an Axis minor, so its facilities will go to the same level as corresponding German ones. Norway and in this case Sweden are conquered countries, so a penalty that can differ from country to country applies. My guess would be towns to 6, cities, mines and harbors to 8.

Its basically if those extra points for the whole game are worth the US & Finland moving. At this point he'll have to load up on Finland diplo to get them to enter correct?

Yes they will, so I do wonder about the efficacy of this strategy, but maybe they're going for plunder and a morale boost just before launching Barbarossa?
