Hello everybody and happy new year!
I just bought EIA and tried to install it on a Windows 10 Laptop where I dont have admin rights. The installer fails when trying to write the "uninstall" files.
Is it possible to install and run this game on a Windows 10 without admin rights?
Thanks for any help,
Thomas

I don't know about your admin rights restrictions, but you should be able to manually delete files from the installation folder?

Hello,
this happens during the initial installation attempt. I am not allowed to create any files or directories inside the "C:\Windows" directory tree. I have chosen another path "C:\eia" for the installtion but the installer still fails. It seems like the installer wants to write "uninstall" files in a harcoded path "C:\Windows\Matrix Games\Empires in Arms"?

Is it possible to download the binary games files and later add my serial number? Then I could dump the game files in a directory with permissions.

No, you need to go through the installer. One option might be to change the installation directory to a different drive that may not require admin rights.
It's sounding to me like you might be using a company computer and that's not where you should be installing a game. That's another issue. If the installer is not working for you other than the admin rights restriction, then you should contact the Matrix Games help desk. I don't know what else to tell you?
