Question regarding AAA on ships that are "Docked"...

Hi all,
UV manual states that ships that are "Anchored" in port (i.e. not in TFs) will
give 50% of their AAA (Anti Aircraft Artillery) fire when that base port is
attacked.
But what about AAA on ships that are "Docked" in that port (i.e. they are in
various TFs there)?
How much do they all contribute their AAA fire when base port is attacked?
100%
Are their AAA rating combined from all ships in all TFs there?
Any ideas gentleman?

My guess would be 50% also since only 50% of the guns would be able to bearing in any one direction. Even the 50% is a guess since some guns could have 180 degree sweep.

Hi all,
It's strange that this wasn't talked about before since it's very important issue...

If you look at the ammo of ships in port (disbanded) you will notice that all of the AA guns ammo slowly gets used up. Ships in port never rearm so you can see exactly which ships fired after every air attack. All guns fire but maybe they are only counted at 50%.
If you keep your ships in a port that is under siege by enemy planes day in and day out be sure to form them into a TF every 10 or so days and click “refuel from port”. That will give them 100% ammo again, assuming the base has supplies. You can then disband them again before you end your turn.

I knew of what you wrote about "Anchored" (i.e. disbanded) ships.
This is stated in UV manual (also please see my 1st message in this
thread).
But what I would like to know is what's with ships that are "Docked" (i.e. that
are part of TFs in port).

As far as I know, ships that are in a task force contribute zero percent of their flak to defending the base. Nor should they since they are only attacked using the "naval attack" setting and not the port attack setting. If you are not making yourself a target then you don't get to contribute any to the defense.

OK... logical and makes perfect sense...
But what about mutual TF to TF AAA support for "Docked" TFs that
are attacked by enemy "Naval Attack"?
Is there some mutual AAA benefit or it is every TF for itself
(just like it is on open sea)?

I'm not so sure its even 50%. In my latest PBEM game Condor had his carriers parked in Noumea and wouldn't come out and play. So I launched a port attack. He had 62 ships in port. I only lost 7 planes. Next day I launched naval attacks and lost >50 planes to DD TFs only.
