Hi all

I'm trying to find out what level of AI assistance is in WITE2. I know their is Air AI assistance but reading some reviews it appears the low down details can be handled by AI while you just focus on the higher level stuff. If this is true, is it automatic?

that will give you more information but the game has 3 main AI-assist routines:

a) logistics, it will build depots and re-allocate priority for you (I think this one does a really good job), the only bit left to you is how to the use the 4+ manually controlled rail repair units
b) Air assist, you set broad orders determining relative priority, which HQ to follow and stance (which determines how the AI deploys in relation to that HQ). This one does a decent job and leaves you the ground war but its something you can improve on with manual control (it also swaps weakened units off map and replaces them).
c) allocation of support units, again you set priority at HQ level and these are moved to fit that profile. Again its perfectly ok in its choices but most players want to create specialist clusters (esp around the less common support units) so again opt for manual control

if you use all, then you basically set up some priorities and directions and you are left with essentially managing the on map combat and HQ formations

Ah. I had a look in the manual but could only find the Air assist and how to turn that on.

depot rules are in 25.7.3 and Support Units in 21.5.6, so need a bit of digging to find [:)]
