I am trying to set up my air transport to air drop freight to a mobile Panzer unit, sometimes far ahead of depots. I set up the Air Transport AOG to follow that unit. Is that ALL I need to do? Is there an air directive type for this? An air directive that gets edited and changed to transport freight to a HQ unit and air drop it near the unit? I thought I read that some where ...

You do air transport during the ground step. There is a button on the upper left side to open the interface to select target and staging base (where there are supplies stockpiled). It works much better if the targeted hex contains an airbase.

I looked, I can't find this, can someone post an image?
