game crashing when trying to finish air phase

hi
playing as Soviet 41' in turn 14, already had the problem in turn 13. when pressing the button the loading for the air turn starts, but the game crashes at about 80% of the loading screen.
my PC can easily handle the game, so thats not the issue.
last time loaded AI Axis load and let the AI play their turn again, then my air phase run smoothly ... don't know what I should do, pls help.

There is a hotfix .14 under way. WIll be fixed

Just wanted to chime in to say that I have the same issue. Very much looking forward to a hotfix because as it is the game is not reliably playable.

Both the 1.02.14 and 1.02.15 hotfixes fix an issue where the AI assist was crashing the game right before the air resolution phase. It sounds like that's what you guys are seeing, so you should try the 1.02.15 hotfix and it should solve this problem.

... so how do I do that? thought Steam automatically pushes updates?
and can I continue my GC with a new update, or do I have to restart?

This update is to the executable file only. Matrix will push out a full installer and steam update ASAP. I don't own the steam version so I can't say for sure, but for the Matrix version we merely download the exe file linked the announcement thread and copy/paste over our old one. Matrix advises to rename your old exe file first and I would certainly do that for the steam version as your milage may vary.

For Steam users, you may have luck doing what I did. I downloaded the 1.02.15beta exe file and copied it into the local directory used by Steam. I copied over the existing exe. I was then able to play the game as per usual. While I had one crash, I don't think it was related to the previous error and I have been able to play for several hours with no crashes like before.
