How to fire?

Just did bootcamp 1 and still dont know how to manually fire at enemy units. Can you fire at them on your turn?

You press the CTRL button or the press the Move/Fire button on the lower left... then target the opposing unit (if they are in range)

Next question, on op fire I killed civilians why would I fire on them?

Could be many reasons. It is up to you to turn off your OP Fire when operating around civilians.
