It would be helpful with some kind of colored hex overlay on hexes where you have fighter cover. When I decide to activate Ground Support ("x") I want to know if the LBs going in will have their backs covered or if I risk losing a lot of them.

Until there is any overlay there is always the range circles, which not optimal is still helpful.

This is nice and all BUT having a range setting for every aircraft of how far they can fly from base would be better . Just my opinion

One problem with the overlay is that it probably would not take into account conditions that wont let them fly, like fuel, ammo, support shortages, etc

If not an overlay, maybe it can be included in the popup window with the CV odds and other combat info. It could say FIGHTER COVER AVAILABLE or something like that.

Yes, it would be a useful function, but the truth is that it can also create a false sense of security. The number of usable fighters (for multiple reasons such as those mentioned) can be in practice very small, or even non-existent. Actually there are also problems of this kind in other types of missions, you have to look at this information with some caution but, of course, it is better that it exists.
