What bonus do bunkers, and pillboxes add to the Modified Defense Strength? I cannot find it in the manual. Perhaps I’m blind…..but I can find it the manual for CSME.

The effect of Bunker or Pillbox cannot be expressed in a single numerical modifier, nor in a simple formula. It's much more algorithmically complicated than that, for both Direct Fire and Assault.

Suffice it to say that Pillbox confers greater defensive benefits than Bunker, Bunker greater than Trench, and Trench greater than Improved Position.

Beyond that, no more peeking into the combat "black box". [:'(]

Thanks. I kind of thought that's what it would be but sometimes you can't find an answer in the manual even though its staring you in the face so I had to ask. Gotta say, I'm enjoying the game. Well done to everyone that put it together.
