I keep having trouble with this, it came up a while back but I can't remember what the solution was.
So, you do a transfer of an individual air group (not an AOG) and for some reason want to cancel it part way through - maybe the target selection was wrong or something like that. So you don't execute it.
Then exit out of of that transfer and select another transfer of some sort, could be an individual air group or could be an AOG.
But it won't execute because the last one was not completed.

What is the proper sequence of keystrokes to cancel the original transfer when you don't want to execute it that won't leave it in the system memory ?

Just go back to the transfer option on the screen. Cancel should be there.

As M60 shows. In addition to that there is a bug that sometimes after the "cancel transfer" when you select another group to transfer - still old one is selected for a transfer. You have to be very careful and double check from which group that lines for a transfer are coming.

So that is my question. When you use the cancel transfer option after an air group transfer then the old transfer can still remain.
As Stamp writes there is a flaw in the system. How do you clear the old transfer ?

I am not sure what you are talking about. If you click "Cancel transfer" and transfer is not canceled then select this group or AOG to which this group belongs to and cancel transfer again. If is it not working then you can try to cancel transfer for the whole luftflotte. Maybe it will not work from the first try, give it a second and third chance

Just click out of the window for the system to update after you hit the cancel button on the air transfer.

I always use the map right click method. There is a slew of right click options for various things, but you can’t have a unit in a hex selected, I.e., left click an empty hex and then right click over the hex you want to do something with (or AOG or group or rail yard or depot etc.).

I have never been able to do this for an air transfer but I think I have seen screenshots of it.

First I clicked on 204 BAD and then click on the base (Lyubertsy) to expand it and show all the units and then select the 179 IAP (25x Yak-7B), so that it turns gold.



Once its selected I shift and right click to send it to the Jermolino airbase.



Now I click off on an empty hex so that all the Air Labels appear again.

And then I just right clicked on 204 BAD and select which ever option I want to do. (execute air transfer planned or immediate, or cancel it)

Your welcome, this game has many ways to do or view the same things, you just have to find the one that works best for you or the one you remember the easiest.
