hex detail pop-up

I am playing on a 2560 X 1440 monitor. When mousing over a hex , the pop-up information size is very small and difficult to read with my eyesight. Is there any way to change the size of the font for this information and in so , how? Any help would be appreciated.
PS. Is there any way to force the game to run in 1600 X 900 resolution using switches as with WITPAE where I run with px1600 py900.I cannot seem to make the same thing work with this game - the font resolution is still way too small.
