Modding pilots and weapons

Hi boys!

I'm making some modding in one own scenario and two questions have come to my mind:

1.- Is it possible increase the amount of pilots of some minors ( Dutch/Chinese/Phil ) to British/Australian levels just modifing the number of replacements per month in the scen editor? Ie: Dutch pilots in 1942 per month: 600.

Would it create some trouble?

2.- How could be possible to represent some kind of rapid fire 5"? Some single turret with a huge rate of fire ( ie:autoloader).

Hello

1)Amount of pilot replacements and amount pilots at start can be changed at scenario tab - pilots section. You can change how many pilots each nation gets per year.

2)You could represent Autoloader 2 ways;
1-By changing effect and soft attack values ie; lets say new gun has 2x fire rate of American 5in/38 , you could double the effect and soft attack
2-By changing accuracy

But i am not sure how exactly DP gun accuracy values etc are calculated , i would recommend some testing

Will do some test about point two, and mod the amount of pilots without fear of get out of pilots :) .

There maybe some hidden maximum for DP guns as E says make a trial mod and add ships with it and see . In my mod I made loads of sub variants of stuff all worked ok (after some testing) - except when you exceed some value that is hidden.

For 5 inch DP I suggest looking at adding about 1/3 to accuracy and see how you go - that will make quite a lot of difference.

I think I have (EMPIREmod) a slightly improved 5 inch DP gun for Japan about 10% better than the standard one.
