4.4.1 (Debug). Game Stopping Crash

This is a major game stopping bug, one that I've reported on twice before: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 1&t=379210 and https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 1&t=377900

It's now bitten me in a second game that I'm playing. In both games we initially rolled back to 4.2.3.2 to continue. But in one instance encountered significant supply calculation times. And in both instances this version has the bug where naval units are forced to stop in a sea area containing opposing naval, air or sub units even if the opponent chooses not or fails to intercept.

So, the solution in both games has been to roll back to 3.2.0 (debug) in order to continue.

Just wondering if this bug is on the radar scope and if (hopefully) so, what's the ETA for a fix?

No mods. That's the issue. The file will not load; however it will load with a lower version.

When version 4 became active, certain files were changed. That might explain the problem, since you went back to a version 3 game out of a version 4 game.

Sorry for confusion, but the game file posted is prior to having to go back to 3.2.0 to continue. The fact that the game wouldn't load in 4.4.1 and the naval bugs in 4.3 ultimately led us to have to go back to 3.2.0.

But to be clear the gamefile posted is prior to any retorgrade.

I have run into this bug a number of times. The only way I can figure to rectify it is to edit the .GAM file to relocate the units affected to whatever destination they are expected to be able to move to. It is quite annoying and I hope it is fixed soon.

The above solution does not work in the case of the units being interceptable in multiple sea areas during their route, usually not a problem.

I get this problem quite often too.

Strangely, it seems to happen only in the Naval Air phase, moving an Axis air unit in the East Med!

Anyway, 4.4.1 is actually worse than older versions. I wish there would be more focus on fatal bugs and less on the AI.
