Sorry anybody if this question has already been talked about, i couldn't find what i want.

I am playing allies against the Axis AI; i can't find how to make France fight on : i've read somewhere that Bordeaux can be an alternate capital; and in the strategy guide, it's say about decision 602 that, if Axis don't install Vichy governement, than France will fight from Algeria.

I can't manage to have this result.
I have click off some script. For exemple, the one about installing Vichy; i was thinking that it would enable french governement to flee to Bordeaux, but in fact France just surrender immediately, the few remnants of units sent near Bordeaux don't fight (so are wasted), and the remnants of the french fleet in algeria disappear.
I have pplayed a few turn to see if at least France take back control of Algeria but nothing happen.

Does anybody know wich script should be turn on or off in order that Bordeaux become alternate capital, or that France fight from Algeria.

Bordeaux will only become France's capital if France doesn't surrender on the fall of Paris, and so this is largely determined by the state of French National Morale at the time.

The Axis AI will form Vichy France so fighting on from Algeria isn't normally an option, however you could edit the campaign to change that if you wish, though the change would only apply to a totally new game that you then start.

• To do this, open up the campaign in the Editor, press File -> Save As and give the campaign a new name.

• Then go to Campaign -> Edit Event Scripts

• Click on Decision at the bottom.

• Search for #NAME= DE 602 - Germany: Should Germany Create Vichy France?

• Then change #AI_RESPONSE= 100 to #AI_RESPONSE= 0 and save the file.

• In the Editor, click on the Update* button.

• When that's finished click OK.

• Then press Save.

• Your modded campaign is now good to go!

Note that although DE 602 could be turned off via the Options screen, this would also prevent some events from happening when the Axis don't form Vichy, and so you wouldn't therefore be getting the full experience - which is also better for the French.

What Bill said will mean that France always fights on in all of your games...

The formula is this: multiply every remaining French unit by 3 after Paris falls. That is the percentage that France fights on. So if you have 6 remaining units there is an 18% chance that you will continue the fight.

I dont feel confortable with the idea of going to the editor...i think i will go with a surrendered France.
