Just curious.
How does supply by air work? I know it is load/2000 for supply points.
But do they only fly the one mission in the day? Or, depending on the range, do they fly multiple missions?
Let's take an extreme example. Say I own the bases at Dili, Lautem and Denpasar. My Transports are flying out of Dili. Lautem is one hex away so barely in the air and you are landing. Denpasar is 17 hexes away.
Now at 175 mph cruise, Dili to Lautem is 15 minutes. Dili to Denpasar is 4.5 hrs. C-47 have 6000lbs capacity which I think equates to 3 supply points.
If we assume for the sake of argument that load/unload time is an hour at each end, then the Dili C-47s going to Lautem have a round trip time of 2.5 hrs. So in a 12 hour period they could do say 4 maybe 5 round trips or 12 to 15 supply points per aircraft.
Flying to Denpasar, it is 9 hours round trip plus 2 hours load/unload. so only one trip in a 12 hour period. So barely 3 supply points per aircraft.
Is this how it works or is it just a given that each Transport a/c only fly one mission a day?

There is only one 'air transport phase', just before the end of the Air phase so I believe they will only fly once, no matter how close or far.

Supply transport flies right after the afternoon air combat is complete....GP

Also keep in mind the restriction on air-supply with regard to range.
The C-47 has a max range of 30 so the maximum distance that supply could be transported is 15 hexes. In your example the trip to Denpasar (17 hexes away) would not be possible.

7.2.4.4 AIR TRANSPORTING SUPPLY BETWEEN BASES
Supply can be moved between friendly bases up to half (50%) the Maximum range of the
carrying aircraft.

Okay, switch to C-46 then. I was only trying to point out a possible scenario.
So it looks like that despite attack aircraft being able to fly in the AM and the PM, the supply flights only can fly once a day, regardless of range.
Just a thought! Has anyone done a sandbox on whether the Air Transport Phase is actually only one flight? Maybe they compress all the possible air supply flights into one phase? So rather than interfere with the many and varied combat flights, they decided to do all supply flights in the one phase, regardless of how many trips they had to do?
