DISTANT WORLDS 2 - Pre-Release Stream and AMA



There are only a few days left until the release of Distant Worlds 2 and, for the occasion, we have planned two special events open to the whole community:

- Tuesday, March 8th:
AMA with Erik Rutins and Elliot Gibbs, the main developers of DW2.
On this Reddit channel, at 7pm GMT / 2pm EST.
They will answer all your questions about the game, its design, and its development.

- Wednesday, March 9th:
Pre-Release stream with Erik Rutins. A live stream on the Slitherine Twitch channel at 6pm GMT / 1pm EST, where, for a few hours, he'll play DW2, give advice to players and answer their questions.

Distant Worlds 2, the journey begins now.

Is the AMA taking place now? I don't see it.

We're there, waiting for the Reddit mods to approve it so that it will show up.

Not sure what's going on in terms of getting the AMA started. We've been ready and waiting since the scheduled start, but it hasn't shown up which we assume is because the mods for that reddit haven't approved it yet.

Why do you want it on reddit and not here? ^^

Do you plan to do a pre load on matrix? would be nice

Ideally, it would have been a larger audience that don't all know about DW2 already, but I'm afraid this reddit has really let us down here. No sign of the mods and we can't make our AMA live without them.

Our store doesn't do "pre-loads", sorry.

no probs How big is the file? You notice, I am hot for the game Most anticipated strategy game. ^^

And it is a shame with reddit

About 5GB compressed, about 10GB installed, perhaps a bit more once you start playing and generating saves and all that.
