Ok, this is a strange one - Sept '42 and I have a bunch of Anti-tank regiments/brigades sitting with no guns in the Reserve, because we're not producing any 76.2 ZiS AT guns. Should be 50/turn from Mar '42, but we've produced a grand total of 1. All other 76.2 arty models being produced fine, and so are the lower calibre AT guns.

I think you attached the wrong save. I looked at my last AI test game and saw that it took several months before production started up, but eventually it got going and produced thousands of at guns. This is not a normal production item, but an import from the zis field gun. The fact that it is an import makes it follow different rules re when it will actually convert field guns from the pool into AT guns.

So sorry, was comparing with a previous game to see if I could make sense of it, as there does seem to be a delay between availability and actual production. From what you are saying, is it possible then that a surplus of ZiS-3s or equivalent need to be available for conversion? I have a larger army this time round, and a larger need for light artillery, so that would explain why I'm not getting my AT gun demand filled.

Maybe it should be changed to direct production? would require a reduced build limit for the Field Gun version to compensate.
Getting AT-Guns will always be an issue with no stock of the field guns

Well I should have checked before jumping to that conclusion. I actually have 2700 ZiS-3s in stock, ready for conversion. It would be good to know what the trigger for non-direct production is. Is it 10 times the weekly production perhaps - with a 280 per week I suppose that would fit.

Ah hah! Yes, that's it, they are all listed as in transit. So aren't able to convert.
