INFINITE MONEY EXPLOIT
Major
as the state builds ships on behalf of the private sector, you're shipyard will automatically start building ships for them, prvoding a bonus income. Because this income is credited BEFORE the ships are constructed and instead when they join the queue, simply cancelling them provides you the income without them being constructed.
Private sector will attempt to build again, cancel again, keep the cash.
System should only credit you AFTER the ships have been constructed.

Character screen glitch.
Minor.
Often the character animation will not appear at all, or the model will not appear correctly, head and body not attached.

That wouldn't help. You can still scuttle the ships after they've been constructed, which amounts to the same exploit.
Also, it's technically not infinite because the private economy does have to pay out of pocket for the ships, so eventually it will run dry.

This is really of minor consequence, but I did find it a bit odd the steam overlay when you switch to it is a ghostly white like the contract is cranked up too high:
Bit hard to make out from the picture, but typically what you see there would be black, just as a point of reference to how far off this is.
Again, minor in the scheme of things but still I thought worth mentioning.

The game will not stop running.
When exiting the game, Steam shows that it is still Running, but the game is not present in the Task Manager.
I have to completely close Steam and restart Steam to stop game from showing as Running

I guess it shouldn't be possible to scuttle private ships then? this in itself seems to be a bug, given private pays state to build them in the first place. at the very least scuttling should reimburse private the funds, perhaps state the resources ( assuming resources are reimbursed)

There are legitimate reasons to scuttle civilian ships though. For example, if a freighter has been damaged somewhere far out, it's much better to delete it than to send out a construction ship to repair it. I wouldn't want to lose that ability.

well if you are to scuttle a private ship in deep space, then does it make sense to receive the funding back? I would say not, unless, as you say, a construction ship does the scuttling and returns with the resources / value or refuels the private ship so it can return home to scuttle?

Minor:
I captured some pirate spaceports in my starting system and I guess I inherited/captured some characters from that. Those character portraits do not appear, they are just black squares, still selectable with stats, but black.

Fleet Templates folder bug: the game accesses two slightly differently named "Fleet Templates" folders, currently the loading of templates is only possible by copying them over to the other folder.

You can repeatedly trade the same information (ie special location) The option for previously traded information isn't removed if you go straight back into the negotiate window after trading previously

I scuttled a Medium Freighter I found at a Junkyard and immediately got some xxx found messages. All fine
Then it started spamming Treasure Found, System maps recovered, even two tech messages. There were literally dozens of messages arriving for game months all from the same source.
I haven't seen it happen again. But it is rare to acquire abandoned freighters.

Playing as Humans on a PC system. Received a "blue circle" notification for something of interest. Had a scout ship travel there. Found an abandoned Research Base (called itself "Prime" Research Base). When I approached the base it powered up and joined my civilization, but kept repeating a message about checking for Shakturi (sp?) and asking me to input a code. (Another oddity is that the base came with an onboard Admiral who also joined my civ.)
There was no where for me to input a code, nor did I have any code, so the base kept spamming out that same message about once every second. Filled the right side of my screen with the spam message and then kept going and going and going. I finally had to give up and restart from a saved game.

Not sure if this is a bug or if I just don't know where to find it, but it would be nice to have a "Stop" button for an entire fleet. From what I can see there is no stop button on the fleet dialog box (bottom left screen). Instead, I manually select all ships in the fleet (left mouse click and drag) and then issue them a stop order from the dialog box that appears for the group I've selected.
