Grainy background when zoomed in - can't play game

Reposting this here as no one has responded to my thread in the normal forum.
The dots shown in the picture also move btw which is really distracting.
Can someone please tell me how to fix this? I am running at 2560x1600 with a GTX 1080 TI.
I tried all the suggested fixes for the fonts and have the .6 hotfix installed with no luck.

I know that everyone is busy, but I cannot play the game at all with this issue. Can someone please reply about how to fix this as I am not the only one with this issue.

I tried 1.09 patch and turned off all the layers and this problem still exists.
I never would have bought the game if I had known of this problem. I wonder if I could get a refund as I did not buy it through Steam.

I'm sorry, that grainy background is the background of procedurally generated stars. That doesn't cause a problem at all for me here and I don't understand how that would make the game unplayable?
We do plan to gather more information on this as we've seen several reports saying they "flicker" which I assume is the problem? We're working on multiple critical issues preventing some customers playing the game at all, so those have to take first priority. Our working theory is that this may be some kind of HDR or scaling issues and as those are related to some of the critical issues, we were hoping that as we resolved those, any "flicker" here would go away.
Regards,
- Erik

Thanks, Eric, for the reply.
The movement of the stars is the main issue as it is really bothersome to my eyes. I'm not sure if the dotted background would be an issue without that.
It would be nice if the background was just black without any dots at all. As an option at least.
I'm sure you have a lot more pressing issues than this, but I'm glad it is now on a list somewhere to be looked at.

I suggest installing ReShade and softening the background stars with a filter. As far as which one to use, I would suggest NLMeans, FXAA, a blur filter (with a sharpening filter after it), or possibly one of the other AA algorithms.
If you are talking about the flickering stars, that should hopefully be fixed soon.
