[1.0.1.8] Black screen on launch - related to controllers?

On 1.0.1.4, I experienced a crash due to the controller issue. Ever since the 1.0.1.6 fix, the crash no longer occurs, but instead I experienced black screens on launch.
Today, I've realized that unplugging my keyboard (on 1.0.1.8) fixes the black screen on launch issue -- I can launch into and see the game menu. However, upon plugging back in my keyboard, the game window becomes somewhat nonresponsive -- it only responds to mouse clicks, not to mouse movement, but renders properly. I've recorded a short video demonstrating this.
Hope this helps with debugging.
I've messed around with the new GameSettingsOverrides.txt, and haven't found anything to work so far. Also attaching my SessionLog and dxdiag.
